Travis Hafner drove home a pair of runs Tuesday, helping to lead the Indians to a 5-3 win over the Tigers.
After getting off to a strong start to the season, Hafner is only hitting .240, though he has provided solid run production with his 21 RBI. As long as he can remain healthy, he's a great bet to finish the year with 20 homers and 90 RBI, and could be a solid spot play in deeper fantasy leagues.

Hafner had to leave Thursday's game after being hit by a pitch on his right hand, but it was precautionary and he's back in there the next day. Pronk is batting .259/.397/.457 with five homers and 19 RBI this season.

Travis Hafner (hand) hopes to be in the starting lineup Friday.
Hafner was hit in the right hand by a pitch in the ninth inning Thursday and was eventually removed for a pinch-hitter in the 11th. While it doesn't sound like anything serious, the Indians could rest him on Friday to play it safe. Consider him day-to-day.

Travis Hafner was removed for a pinch-hitter in the 11th inning Thursday after getting hit on the right hand in his previous at-bat.
Hafner stayed in to run and came out on deck in the 11th, but the Indians sent up Aaron Cunningham to hit for him, even though the Mariners had a right-handed pitcher in. Hopefully he's just day-to-day with a bruise.

Grady Sizemore (back) took batting practice Wednesday for the first time since landing on the disabled list.
"He looked good for the first time," Acta said. "He swung the bat good, but it's just a start. We're not going to rush anything. He's going to continue his rehab, and I'm anticipating that he's going to go on a rehab assignment where he's going to have plenty of at-bats before he comes up here and plays." Sizemore has been hitting, throwing and doing running and agility drills, but he's not close to returning to the lineup. He's hoping to be back before the end of June.

The Indians are hoping that Josh Tomlin (wrist) won't require a rehab assignment before rejoining the rotation.
Tomlin threw a 30-pitch bullpen session before Tuesday's game and hasn't had any issues in his recovery to this point. He's eligible for activation from the DL on Wednesday, but he seems unlikely to be ready to return before next week.

Indians manager Manny Acta said Monday that Roberto Hernandez is confident he will receive his travel visa and return to the team.
Hernandez, formerly known as Fausto Carmona, was arrested in his native Dominican Republic in January for falsifying his identity. He reached a deal last month to have the charges dropped in exchange for completing a work program, but it's not clear when he'll receive a visa to travel to the United States. It's possible that MLB could still levy a suspension, though the Indians are hopeful that reducing his salary will serve as an appropriate punishment. He's staying in playing shape in the meantime.
