John Buck went a seventh straight game without an RBI on Monday, finishing 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and a walk.
Buck drove in an NL-high 29 runs through May 3, but he has none since. He does, however, have 13 strikeouts in his last seven games. Buck should continue to supply decent power numbers for a catcher this season, but those in one-catcher mixed leagues should move on now.

John Buck launched a two-run homer Friday against the Braves.
We keep waiting for Buck to come back down to Earth, but it hasn't happened yet. The 32-year-old already has 10 homers, just two fewer than his total for all of last season. Only Dave Kingman (1976) has reached 10 homers faster in Mets' history.

John Buck is not in the Mets' lineup on Tuesday.
It's a well-deserved day of rest for Buck, who caught 15 innings on Monday night. He has been the surprise of the 2013 baseball season so far, boasting nine home runs and 25 RBI in only 23 games. Anthony Recker will start behind the plate Tuesday against the Marlins.

John Buck was hitless in three at-bats Friday against the Phillies.
Buck is hitting just .167 over his last 10 games, bringing his batting average down from .351 to .260 in the process. Meanwhile, his on-base percentage now sits at .282. It was fun while it lasted.

Jenrry Mejia (elbow) racked up six strikeouts over three innings during his first minor league rehab start with High-A St. Lucie on Friday.
Mejia has been on the disabled list for the entire season with inflammation in his pitching elbow. He's likely to require a relatively lengthy rehab assignment, and shouldn't be expected to return to the Mets until early June. Should he secure a spot in the Mets rotation, he could carve out a decent amount of value in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

The move cleared a spot on the Mets' 40-man roster for Aaron Laffey. Santana (shoulder) won't pitch this season.

Francisco was diagnosed with a mild strain of the flexor pronator in his right elbow last week, but he's already back at it. However, it's not clear if he's throwing from a mound or simply playing catch or long-tossing. Either way, he's not close to rejoining the Mets' bullpen.

Mets placed RHP Scott Atchison on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his right elbow.
Collin McHugh was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill the vacant bullpen spot. Atchison has been shut down for a week and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. It's not clear when he might return.

Familia's velocity has been down of late, and the Mets figured out that it's because his bicep is a tad sore. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be out. Greg Burke has taken his spot in the bullpen.
