Jose Reyes was 4-for-5 with a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Mets.
It was Reyes' first four-hit game since last June 28. The big day against his former club raised his batting average from .234 to .256 on the year. Things should only get better from here.

Jose Reyes had two hits, a steal and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.
Reyes is starting to heat up. He has two hits in three of his last four games and four steals in his last six outings. It's not a coincidence that the Marlins have now won six straight games.

Jose Reyes was dropped to second in the batting order in Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
The Marlins are shaking things up in an effort to jump start their struggling lineup. Emilio Bonifacio, not Reyes, is batting leadoff Saturday. Reyes is hitting just .205 (15-for-73) this season.

Just a routine day off for Reyes, who was 1-for-12 against the Mets this week and is hitting just .205 (15-for-73) this season. Donnie Murphy will start in his place Friday and bat second while Emilio Bonifacio will slide into the leadoff spot.

Marlins placed OF Emilio Bonifacio on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19, with a sprained left thumb.
It's still not clear what the MRI results are, but obviously the injury is bad enough to keep Bonifacio out for at least a couple weeks. Chris Coghlan has been recalled, but Bryan Petersen figures to benefit the most in terms of increased playing time while Bonifacio is out.

Marlins placed RHP Jose Ceda on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a right elbow injury.
Ceda underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2012 campaign.

Suspended
Barry Jackson and Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald report that Juan Carlos Oviedo will be suspended eight weeks, not six weeks as originally reported, for using a fake identity.
It's been increased because MLB originally planned to suspend him for two weeks of spring training and six weeks of the regular season, but because he missed all of spring training, he'll have to serve all eight weeks during the season. Oviedo still hasn't received a visa to return to the United States, and the Marlins aren't sure when he'll get one. The suspension won't begin until then.
