1B	1	Mark Teixeira Sidelined Yankees GM Brian Cashman said Monday that he is "leaning personally" toward placing first baseman Mark Teixeira (wrist) on the 15-day disabled list. But nothing has been made official yet. Teixeira underwent an MRI this weekend in New York that showed only inflammation (and no new structural damage) in his troublesome right wrist, but he is having trouble swinging the bat with confidence and might be better off with a few more weeks of rest and rehab. Teixeira is hitting .151/.270/.340 in 15 games since his activation. Jun 17

SS	1	Derek Jeter D.L. Derek Jeter (ankle) participated in hitting and fielding drills Friday at the Yankees' spring training complex. Jeter hit off a tee and took swings in an indoor cage before resuming light infield work. It was the first time he has done any baseball activities since mid-April. Assuming he avoids setbacks, Jeter could be ready to rejoin the Yankees' lineup in about six weeks. Jun 15

Nunez, on the DL since May 6, took indoor batting practice and fielded grounders at the Yankees' spring training complex. 3B	1	Alex Rodriguez D.L. Alex Rodriguez (hip) is scheduled to face live pitching for the first time this year on Tuesday in Tampa. A-Rod is finally beginning to take major strides in his recovery from January hip surgery. He ran the bases at 75 percent effort over the weekend and is now ready to begin working on his timing at the plate. The veteran third baseman will be activated from the disabled list shortly after the All-Star break if everything continues to go according to plan with his rehab. Jun 17
	2	Kevin Youkilis D.L. Yankees placed 3B Kevin Youkilis on the 15-day disabled list with a lumbar spine sprain. No word yet on how long he may be sidelined, but since it's a recurring issue, it may be longer than 15 days. It's the same ailment that landed Youkilis on the disabled list at the end of April. He managed to hit just.146/.239/.220 with one RBI and 13 strikeouts in 41 at-bats after returning from the disabled list on May 31. Jun 14
LF	1	Curtis Granderson D.L. Curtis Granderson will have the pin removed from his fractured left pinkie finger this Thursday. Granderson should then be cleared for light workouts.
