Drew Stubbs tripled, doubled twice and drove in three runs as the Indians beat the Red Sox 12-3 on Thursday.
Stubbs merits as an everyday right fielder can be debated, but he is hitting better than he did last year, with a .255/.304/.403 line through 149 at-bats. And fortunately for his fantasy owners, the Indians lineup has been better than expected, giving him more chances to score and drive in runs from the ninth spot than anticipated.

Drew Stubbs tallied four hits, including a walk-off RBI double in the 10th inning, leading the Indians to a 7-6 victory over the Twins on Friday.
Stubbs finished the night 4-for-5 with three doubles, a run scored and an RBI. The 28-year-old outfielder has turned in three straight multi-hit performances to raise his season line to .280/.340/.420 with two homers, eight RBI and a pair of stolen bases. While he's not expected to contribute a positive average, his power/speed combination makes him a worthwhile option as a fourth or fifth outfielder in all formats.

Drew Stubbs is batting just .207 with a .483 OPS through his first 29 plate appearances this season.
Stubbs has struck out 12 times and attempted only one stolen base. There was some hope that this winter's trade to Cleveland might provide a spark for the talented 28-year-old outfielder, but it hasn't happened yet.

Drew Stubbs worked on changing his approach over the offseason, ditching his leg kick in favor of a toe tap.
Austin Jackson implemented the same change last season, and Stubbs is hoping it will pay off for him in a similar fashion. The outfielder struck out 539 times from 2010-2012 (180 per season). "When things are going good and you have a leg kick, it's great," Stubbs said. "When you're not, it's a scramble. For a lot of last year, that was the case with me. I said, 'I have to find something to simplify my swing and be able to repeat it.' I kind of rededicated myself after a rough year, trying to get myself back to where I know I should be."

Lou Marson (shoulder) admitted Monday that there is no timetable for his return to the Indians' active roster.
Marson has begun throwing but is not yet performing any other baseball activities due to lingering soreness in his shoulder and neck. "It's definitely frustrating," the catcher told MLB.com. "I know what it is and kind of what I have to do. Hopefully, I can get on the field soon."

Myers' velocity was down on Wednesday in his second rehab outing with Double-A Akron, and he walked four while allowing three runs over 4 1/3 frames. Assuming his velocity comes back up the next time out, he could rejoin the Indians' rotation after that.

Josh Tomlin (Tommy John surgery) could return near the end of the season.
Tomlin went under the knife last August. At this point in his rehab, it's hard to predict if a 2013 return is in the cards. Tomlin has said he'd rather be 100 percent for 2014 rather than making a premature late-season return this year. The right-hander posted a 6.36 ERA in 16 starts and five relief appearances with the Indians last season.

Wood felt some soreness in his surgically-repaired elbow during his first appearance on Saturday, but it was only a minor scare. The 27-year-old right-hander is currently in recovery mode from Tommy John surgery and will likely need a handful of appearances before he's a legitimate consideration for the major league roster.

Indians transferred RHP Frank Herrmann from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
The move clears a spot for the newly-claimed Robert Whitenack on the 40-man roster. Herrmann had Tommy John surgery in March and will miss the entire 2013 season.
