Evan Longoria collected his 21st homer and his 35th double Thursday against the Marlins.
Longoria had his best month of the season in September, hitting .286/.339/.514 with five homers as the Rays drifted out of any sort of postseason contention. His overall numbers are better than last year's, and he's provided a nice return for his salary, given that he's still making a modest $11 million. Still, it no longer seems like he's truly capable of leading the Rays. Oct 1 - 11:00 PM
