Tony Sipp earned his fourth save of the season by hurling a scoreless ninth inning against the Mariners in Wednesday's 5-2 victory.
Chad Qualls isn't 100-percent, and Josh Fields pitched on Tuesday, so Sipp was called on to get the save. He struck out leadoff batter Michael Saunders, allowed an infield Robinson Cano single, and then induced two straight fly outs. It's hard to know if Sipp will vulture his way into a fifth save, but he's been a solid setup man with a 3.35 ERA and 0.88 WHIP. Sep 11 - 1:37 AM
