Steve Pearce was named as the MVP of the 2018 World Series.
The 35-year-old journeyman hit .250 with three homers and eight RBI in the Fall Classic, including a game-tying home run in the eighth inning of Game 4 and a pair of long balls in the series-clinching win in Game 5. Pearce, who was acquired from the Blue Jays in late June for minor league infielder Santiago Espinal, wound up being a critical cog in the Red Sox' run to the title. He'll be a highly-coveted commodity on the free agent market this winter. Oct 28 - 11:38 PM
