Chris Carter hit his 37th home run of the 2014 season in Saturday's 10-1 over the Mariners.
The two-run home run off of Mariner starter Chris Young in the first inning was Carter's only hit of the game, as the slugger finished 1-for-4 with two RBI. Carter's second-half power surge has been well-documented in the media, but he'd gone into a little power drought as of late. Saturday's home run was his first since September 5. Even so, he's still slashing .291/.418/.473 in September. This constitutes his worst month since the All Star Break and tells you just how terrifying a batter Carter has been in the second half of the year. Overall, he's slashing .234/.314/.503.
