Frazier has six homers and 27 RBI, but he's probably not going to get that average up until he cuts back on the strikeouts. He's fanned 44 times in 43 games this year, compared to 103 times in 128 games last season.

Todd Frazier homered off Jeff Samardzija for the only run of Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Frazier's strikeout rate is up this year, but he's managed six homers and 18 RBI in 21 games anyway. Time will tell if he'll be able to maintain a .260+ average, but the power numbers are pretty legit.

It's merely a procedural move. Ludwick has been ruled out until early July with a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

The Reds have determined that Chris Heisey's hamstring aggravation was not severe.
"It wasn’t horrendous," assistant general manager Bob Miller said. "He tweaked it." Heisey won't return until the next homestand, which runs from May 24-28, at the earliest. It's certainly possible his absence could stretch into June.

Manny Parra (pectoral) struck out two in a scoreless inning Monday in his first rehab appearance with Double-A Pensacola.
No word on the timeline for his return, but he'll likely make at least one more appearance before being activated. Parra has an 8.10 ERA and 7/3 K/BB ratio over 6 2/3 innings prior to going down with a strained left pectoral muscle at the end of April.

Reds transferred RHP Nick Masset from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.
Masset is still recovering from right shoulder surgery, and he was recently shut down after suffering a setback. The right-hander hasn't pitched since 2011.
