Eric Hosmer went 2-for-5 with two runs scored as the Royals beat the Astros on Tuesday.
The power is still missing, but Hosmer is now batting .271 with a .342 on-base percentage. The skill set suggests that he will start hitting the ball over the fence soon. He can break out at any time.

Eric Hosmer went 2-for-4 and finally hit his first homer of the season Thursday against the Orioles.
The homer came in his 99th at-bat. The hope was that Hosmer would show more power this year after slipping to 14 homers as a sophomore last year, but he entered tonight's game with a weak .330 slugging percentage.

Eric Hosmer went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Monday's 10-inning loss to the White Sox.
He singled off Matt Thornton in the ninth. The one-hit afternoon brings Hosmer's slash to .258/.337/.326 through 101 plate appearances. Hardly disastrous, but not what the Royals and fantasy owners had in mind. Hosmer will go into the Royals' 29th game on Tuesday with just five extra-base hits and nine RBI.

Eric Hosmer doubled and drew two walks in the Royals' loss to the Tigers on Wednesday night.
A nice show of plate discipline from the young first baseman, who wound up with two RBI. Hosmer is batting just .277 with a weak .319 slugging percentage, but he has a cool .375 OBP in 56 plate appearances this season. The power numbers will hopefully arrive soon.

Salvador Perez has been diagnosed with a deep right hip bruise and is considered day-to-day.
Perez suffered the injury Monday when he ran into a railing near the Astros' dugout while trying to track down a foul ball. He is not in the Royals' starting lineup on Tuesday night but should be fine in a few days.

Jarrod Dyson has been diagnosed with a mild high ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks.
The 28-year-old speedster had been off to a decent start this season, hitting .268/.286/.561 with a homer, eight RBI and six stolen bases through his first 41 at-bats. While the timetable for recovery is short, any injury to the ankle is something to very closely monitor for a player such as Dyson who derives all of his fantasy value from his speed. David Lough could be worth a look in very deep leagues while Dyson is out.
