Nationals signed RHP Anibal Sanchez to a two-year, $19 million contract with a $12 million club option for 2021.
The deal also includes $4 million in performance-based incentives. Sanchez was brilliant for the Braves in 2018, posting a 2.83 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 135 strikeouts across 136 2/3 innings, and he has the potential to make for an excellent No. 4 starter in Washington behind Max Scherzer, Patrick Corbin, and Stephen Strasburg. Durability is a concern with the veteran right-hander, who will be pitching at age 35 in 2019, but he's a worthwhile late-round grab in fantasy drafts this spring. Thu, Dec 27, 2018 02:00:00 PM
