Rangers manager Ron Washington said Saturday that Tanner Scheppers is his top setup man.

Scheppers has unofficially held the title for a while. The hard-thrower has yet to allow a run this season and holds a 1.11 WHIP and 7/4 K/BB ratio over 12 2/3 innings. With Joakim Soria recently suffering a setback, Scheppers should handle the eighth inning for a while. "We’ve certainly been hoping that one day he steps up and takes charge, and he’s stepping up," Washington said. "He’s got a good arm and the key is he’s throwing strikes." Apr 28 - 12:45 PM

	4	Alexi Ogando D.L. Rangers manager Ron Washington said Friday that he's not sure whether Alexi Ogando (biceps) will require a minor league rehab start before coming off the disabled list. Ogando will throw off flat ground on Saturday and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Monday. An MRI revealed no structural damage in his biceps, so as long as he feels no pain, he should be ready to go as soon as he's eligible to come off the disabled list. May 24

	7	Colby Lewis D.L. Colby Lewis (elbow) acknowledged on Monday afternoon that he's unhappy with his fastball velocity. Lewis was sitting around 85-86 mph in his rehab start Monday at Double-A Frisco and wants to be closer to 89-91 mph by the time he returns to the major leagues. The hope had been that he would be ready to rock during the first week of June, but a more realistic timetable calls for him to be activated near the middle of the month. Lewis is on his way back from major right elbow surgery. May 20
	8	Neftali Feliz D.L. Neftali Feliz (elbow) is long-tossing at 120 feet. Feliz's rehab from Tommy John surgery is going fine, although it's not yet been announced when he'll be ready to throw off a mound. We expect him to return to a major league mound late in the summer. May 19

A tough break for the Rangers, as Soria had been slated to join the Rangers' bullpen as soon as late next month. The good news is that his surgically-repaired elbow is fine.
