Jordan Zimmermann was shelled for six runs in five innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Indians.
Zimmermann was not sharp and the dangerous Cleveland offense was able to take advantage. The right-hander allowed a total of eight hits, two of which were homers, while watching his ERA jump from 2.00 to 2.44. He'll look to get back to his ace-like ways in his next start at home against the Rockies. That's another good run-producing team.

Jordan Zimmermann moved to 9-3 after holding the Twins scoreless on just two hits and two walks over seven innings in Sunday's 7-0 victory.
Chris Parmelee singled off of Zimmermann in the fourth and doubled off of him in the sixth, but those were the only two base knocks the righty permitted all day. He struck out eight to tie a season high. Zimmermann has been consistently great all season and now boasts a 2.00 ERA and microscopic 0.89 WHIP for the season. He'll try to keep it going next weekend in Cleveland.

Jordan Zimmermann didn't get a win but was superb Tuesday, allowing two unearned runs on four hits and a walk over eight frames in a 3-2 victory over the Mets.
He struck out four. Adam LaRoche's error in the fifth led to the Mets scoring twice with two outs, and that's all Zimmermann yielded. It's a nice rebound outing from the right-hander, as last week's blowup against the Orioles was the lone time this season that he allowed more than two runs. He has a good chance to keep it rolling on Sunday against the Twins.

Jordan Zimmermann allowed seven runs on 10 hits over six innings as the Nationals fell to the Orioles on Wednesday.
Zimmermann held the Orioles to three runs over the first six innings before completely falling apart in the seventh, giving up four runs without recording an out. The fact that he still boasts a 2.37 ERA and 0.94 WHIP after the start is a testament to the year he's having. Wednesday was likely just a blip on the radar. He'll look to get back on track against the Mets on Tuesday.

Manager Davey Johnson initially suggested it could add weeks to his timetable, but that appeared to be a very cautious estimate. Ramos, who has been plagued with recurring hamstring injuries, is hoping to return around the All-Star break.

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said on 106.7 The Fan on Wednesday that Bryce Harper (knee) will resume baseball activities in "the next day or two."
Harper continues to make progress, as he was cleared to progress toward running following a visit to the team doctor earlier this week. While he could begin baseball activities within the next couple of days, there's no timetable for him to return to game action. The 20-year-old outfielder has been sidelined since May 26 with left knee bursitis.

Ryan Mattheus is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a fractured right hand.
Mattheus won't require surgery, but since the injury is to his pitching hand he can't do a whole lot while out. He'll have to build his arm strength back up once out of his cast.

Christian Garcia (shoulder, forearm) has been shut down from his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse.
Garcia has been dealing with shoulder issues and is expected to receive treatment and be rested as a precautionary measure. The Nationals want Garcia to make four or five straight rehab outings without any problems before returning from the disabled list. Garcia has yet to pitch at the major league level this season due to a partial tendon tear in his forearm. He has a 2.57 ERA and eight strikeouts in seven innings over his first five rehab appearances.
