Jake Odorizzi allowed just an unearned run over seven innings Thursday in beating the Marlins.
The Marlins did their best to make it easy for him by playing Ichiro Suzuki in right and Tomas Telis at DH. It's actually the first time Odorizzi has completed seven innings in 16 starts since he came off the DL in mid-July. He was much better before suffering his strained oblique, and the guess here is that he'll look more like the Odorizzi of the first half (2.47 ERA in 12 starts) next year. Oct 1 - 11:06 PM
