USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that the Marlins "say they're not desperate to move Starlin Castro."
Castro is part of the return from the Yankees in the Giancarlo Stanton trade that should be official any time now. The Marlins are going to continue to shed payroll, but, at least publicly, they're saying they don't have to flip Castro and the relatively affordable $24 million he's owed over the next two seasons. Realistically, though, there's no doubt they'll trade him if they receive a decent offer. The Mets are one club that's already been mentioned as a potential landing spot. Dec 10 - 12:54 PM
