Jason Kipnis went 2-for-5 and drove in the winning run in Friday's 2-1 walkoff victory over the Nationals.

Kipnis was credited with an RBI on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the ninth after Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche made a nice diving play and threw home. However, Drew Stubbs was able to beat the tag from Kurt Suzuki to secure the victory. Kipnis has now hit safely in eight straight games and has driven in six runs during the streak. The shoulder has been an ongoing issue for Swisher, who aggravated the injury during Sunday's game. An MRI has ruled out any structural damage, but the Indians haven't ruled out the possibility of a stint on the disabled list. Myers has been out since late April with a mild UCL tear and was shut down last month after he felt renewed soreness. He's throwing again but could possibly return as a reliever. Jun 10

It sounds like it will probably be closer to four weeks, as Indians manager Terry Francona said the club will be "overly cautious" if they need to. "I think throwing his curveball aggravated it," said Francona. "Last year he was just flipping the curveball. Now he's been gripping it and ripping it and that seam [on the ball] has been digging into that finger. We've got to get that soreness out of there." Jun 9
