Twins prospect right-hander Trevor May was dominant on Monday, striking out 11 batters over 8 1/3 innings, allowing three hits, two walks, and one run for Triple-A Rochester.
May dominated a lineup that included Mookie Betts, Shane Victorino, Will Middlebrooks, and Garin Cecchini, and was going for the complete game shutout, but after getting the first batter in the ninth inning, he walked Betts and Mike McCoy, then allowed a single to Cecchini. He was replaced with Aaron Shaw, who closed out the game. May has been dominant since mid-May, holding opposing batters to a .188/.268/.273 line over his last seven starts which have spanned 45 2/3 innings. Jun 17 - 8:43 AM
