Indians prospect SS Francisco Lindor went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI on Tuesday for Triple-A Columbus.
After getting off to hot start following his promotion to Triple-A in late July, Lindor, 20, was mired in an 8-for-54 slump (.148) with one extra-base hit and 14 strikeouts over his last 12 games entering Tuesday. He’s still having an impressive overall season, with a .269/.338/.383 batting line, 27 extra-base hits and 27 stolen bases through 108 games. It’s basically a foregone conclusion that Lindor will be the Indians’ shortstop come September, as he’s poised to take over at the position full time in 2015. Aug 13 - 3:02 PM
