Jeurys Familia is unavailable Friday due to right biceps tendinitis.
Familia's velocity was down from 96 mph to 92 mph during his most recent appearance, so the Mets think it brought on by fatigue. Consider him day-to-day for now, but the Mets could play it safe and place him on the disabled list. Frank Francisco (elbow) is the most likely candidate to replace him on the active roster.

Mets recalled RHP Jeurys Familia from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Familia will replace Greg Burke on the active roster. The 23-year-old right-hander made one appearance with the Mets earlier this month and has tossed five scoreless innings in the minors. He figures to pitch in middle relief.

ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports that right-hander Jeurys Familia is en route to join the Mets in Colorado.
It's not clear if or when he'll be activated. Wednesday's game is at risk of being postponed, so Familia could be carried as an extra reliever if there's a doubleheader on Thursday.

Jenrry Mejia (elbow) racked up six strikeouts over three innings during his first minor league rehab start with High-A St. Lucie on Friday.
Mejia has been on the disabled list for the entire season with inflammation in his pitching elbow. He's likely to require a relatively lengthy rehab assignment, and shouldn't be expected to return to the Mets until early June. Should he secure a spot in the Mets rotation, he could carve out a decent amount of value in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Francisco was diagnosed with a mild strain of the flexor pronator in his right elbow last week, but he's already back at it. However, it's not clear if he's throwing from a mound or simply playing catch or long-tossing. Either way, he's not close to rejoining the Mets' bullpen.

Collin McHugh was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill the vacant bullpen spot. Atchison has been shut down for a week and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. It's not clear when he might return.
