Rays president of baseball operations Matt Silverman believes Brad Miller can be a starting shortstop.
"We've liked him for a while," said Silverman. "We've been impressed by his work at shortstop, and it's always a plus to have a left-handed-hitting middle infielder." The Rays acquired Miller from Seattle Thursday as part of a six-player trade. Miller started games at six different positions this year though he spent most of his time at shortstop. Asdrubal Cabrera started at shortstop for the Rays in 2015 but is now a free agent. Nov 7 - 4:58 PM
