Dan Straily was tagged for six runs and two homers in 4 2/3 innings by the Rangers on Monday.
Straily had turned in a nice run of outings coming into this one -- he went six straight starts without allowing a homer -- so an odd night in Arlington isn't such a bad sign. He'll have a friendlier matchup in Seattle next time out.

Dan Straily yielded two runs and three hits in 6 2/3 innings in a win over the Yankees on Wednesday.
The A's improved to 8-2 with Straily on the mound this year, though Straily has gotten credit for just half of those victories. He's now gone six straight starts without allowing a homer, which qualifies as a big surprise from a guy who allowed 11 bombs in 39 1/3 innings last year. He will start serving up homers again, but he should remain a quality AL-only starter and a decent option as a spot starter in shallow mixed leagues.

Dan Straily was solid over seven frames Thursday, allowing four runs while striking out three in a 5-4 extra innings win over the White Sox.
He gave up six hits and walked a pair. Straily had a rough third inning, permitting four hits and three runs, but he pitched very well otherwise. It doesn’t go down as a quality start, but it’s the fourth straight game where he’s pitched pretty well. He holds a 2.08 ERA over that stretch. Straily gets the Yankees next.

Dan Straily limited the White Sox to one run in six innings and struck out eight in a no-decision Saturday.
Straily outpitched Jose Quintana today, but Sean Doolittle couldn't hold a 3-1 lead in the seventh. Straily has allowed just two runs over 19 innings in his last three starts, lowering his ERA from 7.27 to 4.80. He's a decent play in deeper mixed leagues right now.

Anderson is still working his way back from a stress fracture in his right foot and will be forced to remain in a walking boot for at least another four weeks. The Athletics have transferred him to the 60-day disabled list and he won't be reevaluated until after the All-Star break.

Rodriguez will miss the entire 2013 season. The 28-year-old had a 5.37 and 78/34 K/BB ratio over 70 1/3 innings last season with the Astros and was acquired in February's Jed Lowrie deal.
