Robbie Ray surrendered two runs in 5 1/3 innings Friday in a no-decision against the Astros.
Similar to opposing pitcher Dallas Keuchel, Ray gave up both runs in the first inning before finishing strong. The southpaw allowed just two hits on the night and actually held the Astros hitless after the first inning. He struck out six and walked three while hitting a batter. Ray has allowed two earned runs or fewer in five straight starts, lowering his ERA from 4.91 to 4.14 for the year. He’s really turned his season around. Sep 15 - 1:46 AM
