Robbie Ray's first career postseason start was a forgettable one, as he was charged with four runs over just 4 1/3 frames in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.
Ray was pitching on two days' rest after making a 2 1/3-inning relief appearance in the Wild Card Game. Whether that had an effect on him, who knows, but he wasn't sharp in this one, walking four batters, hitting one and giving up four hits while needing 88 pitches to cover his 4 1/3 innings. The series is now headed back to Arizona for Game 3, with the Diamondbacks needing to win three straight to advance. Oct 8 - 9:09 AM
