Preston Tucker went 2-for-4 with five RBI and a run scored as the Braves drubbed the Mets 12-4 on Thursday.
Tucker did his damage with a pair of doubles, both times roping hits into the right field corner. The first plated two in the third inning; the second came with the bases loaded in the seventh, scoring all three. Tucker is perhaps one of the most and least popular people in Atlanta -- he's been one of the league's most productive hitters thus far, leading the league with 18 RBI, but he's been so good that he's given the Braves reason to leave exciting top prospect Ronald Acuna in the minors for a little longer. Tucker, batting .288/.333/.538 through 18 games, should continue to fend off Acuna while he's producing. Apr 20 - 12:05 AM
