Kendrys Morales went 3-for-4 with a double in the Mariners' loss to the Angels on Wednesday.
The first baseman was the only one effective against Angels' starter C.J. Wilson on Wednesday, and his line is up to .281/.362/.449 on the year. After getting his legs back under him last year in Anaheim, Morales has been relied upon in the middle of the Mariners order. He has five home runs and 21 RBI through 45 games.

Kendrys Morales is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Pirates.
The DH isn't available under National League rules, so Morales will take a seat. There's a chance he could play first base for the final game of the brief interleague series on Wednesday.

Kendrys Morales went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI against the Orioles on Wednesday.
The slumping Morales had driven in just four runs in three weeks, so he needed a game like this. He's a lifetime .379 hitter with four homers and 25 RBI in 26 games against the Orioles.

Kendrys Morales went 2-for-3 with a home run in the Mariners' loss to the Astros on Tuesday.
Unfortunately there was no one on at the time, making it a solo shot for Morales. The switch-hitting designated hitter has been batting in the middle of the Mariners' order this season, but the payoff hasn't really been there in the light-hitting lineup. Morales should get his share of RBI opportunities, but his upside is ultimately limited given his surroundings.

If everything goes smoothly, the center fielder should be back with Seattle early next week. He has been on the disabled list since April 23 with a hamstring strain.

Felix Hernandez wasn't sharp Sunday, allowing six runs -- five earned -- over just five innings in a loss to the Indians.
King Felix recorded eight strikeouts, but he allowed eight hits and walked a pair. The Mariners' ace left his last outing with a back issue, so it's possible it was an issue for him again today. As long as he's healthy, Hernandez is obviously a good bet to bounce back against the Rangers his next time out.

Aaron Harang was lit up for seven runs in 3 2/3 innings by the Angels on Tuesday.
Josh Hamilton and Howie Kendrick homered off him. Harang fell to 1-5 with an 8.58 ERA. The Mariners need to make a switch here, whether it's Jeremy Bonderman, Hector Noesi or James Paxton as the replacement. Erasmo Ramirez still isn't healthy, unfortunately.

Mariners transferred RHP Stephen Pryor from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Pryor now won't be eligible to return until mid-June, but he wasn't going to be ready before then, anyway. The hard-thrower recently resumed his throwing program but has yet to test things out from a mound.

Kinney has been on the shelf all season because of a stress reaction in his left shoulder and rib cage. He's likely to spend around two weeks in the minor leagues.
