Jake Faria yielded three runs on four hits and a walk over 2 1/3 innings as the Rays’ opener Tuesday.
The only run charged to Faria while he was still in the game came in the form of a solo home run hit by former teammate Adeiny Hechavarria to lead off the third. He gave up a triple and a walk after that and both of those runners came around to score after he was pulled. The season has been a big disappointment for Faria, who excelled as a rookie but has bounced back and forth between the majors and minors in his sophomore campaign. Sep 25 - 11:27 PM
