Making his first start in 16 days, Aaron Nola held the Marlins off the scoreboard for six innings Monday in an extra-innings loss.
Nola really struggled in his five starts prior to the All-Star break, but the Phillies gave him some extended rest and it seemed to pay off. He yielded just two hits -- both singles -- and one walk while striking out five. Nola got hit by a liner in his right shoulder in his final inning and didn't look totally comfortable after that, but the Phillies pulling him seemed to be precautionary. It was a very encouraging bounce-back outing for the young righty. He'll try to keep it going this weekend in Pittsburgh. Jul 18 - 11:31 PM
