Brewers prospect OF Monte Harrison went 2-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs on Wednesday for Low-A Wisconsin.
Harrison, a second-round draft pick last June, has struggled in the early going with a .175/.327/.350 batting line and 21/5 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 12 games. However, the 19-year-old is a ridiculous athlete with loud tools across the board, and the secondary skills he showed last season in his professional debut were a pleasant surprise. After signing for $1.8 million last summer, Harrison batted .261/.402/.339 with 10 extra-base hits, 32 steals and a 48/31 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 50 Arizona League games. His upside is enormous, but so is the gap between his present ability and future potential. Apr 23 - 2:51 PM
