Victor Arano was charged two earned runs on two hits in the top of the ninth inning Monday versus the Cardinals.
Arano got the first save chance for the Phillies since Hector Neris' demotion to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday afternoon and he couldn't seal the deal, though he did strike out three batters. On that third strikeout, the ball went to the backstop, allowing Yadier Molina to score from third base. It went into the book as a wild pitch. Adam Morgan then entered the game and let up a game-tying RBI single to Kolten Wong. Seranthony Dominguez seems to be the best bet for saves in the post-Neris era. Jun 18 - 11:22 PM
