Felix Hernandez pitched well in a loss to the Athletics on Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings.
A two-run homer by Jed Lowrie in the first inning was all Felix would yield, but it was enough on a day when Sean Manaea dominated the M's offense. Even so, it was an encouraging turn for the veteran starter, who now owns a 2-2 record with a 5.48 ERA and 1.27 WHIP through four starts. King Felix may be a thing of the past, but the Mariners will surely take this iteration every time out. They'll hope to see it again Friday against the Rangers. Apr 15 - 6:54 PM
