Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo said he wasn't sure if Kyle Lowry was ever fully healthy this season.
Lowry has developed a reputation as a bulldog, but it's always some kind of nagging injury that holds him back during the season, and that was especially true after he had offseason surgery before debuting in Toronto. He dealt with a few different things this season and wound up playing in 68 games. Colangelo also revealed that the two sides aren't having any conversations regarding a contract extension at this time.

Kyle Lowry shot 2-of-10 from the field for seven points with nine boards and six assists in 37 minutes against the Nets on Sunday.
It hasn't been pretty for Lowry and since the All-Star break he's averaged 10 points, five boards, seven assists and 1.3 triples on 39 percent shooting. He should have every opportunity to redeem himself with the Raptors having a team option for next season.

Dwane Casey has begun letting Kyle Lowry call the offense on about 40 percent of the Raptors' sets, and Casey is happy with the results.
"I'm not looking to shoot as much," said Lowry, whose assists have increased. "Of course I believe I can score the ball if I shoot more but [Rudy Gay and DeMar DeRozan] are the scorers ... [But] I will sacrifice to win games." K-Low's team-first attitude is refreshing, even if he's averaging just 10.3 points in April. With a $6.2 million team option for next season, it's very likely that he'll remain with the Raptors this summer.

Kyle Lowry just missed a triple-double in Friday's 97-88 win over the Bulls with 13 points, nine boards and 11 assists in 36 minutes.
He hasn't really been making a ton of headlines, but he can do it all as evident by tonight's performance. His owners probably aren't pleased with him not cracking the top 100 in standard leagues over the past month and he could be a bargain next year. Rudy Gay (23 points, five steals, three blocks and one 3-pointer) was great while DeMar DeRozan was solid with 19 points.

Linas Kleiza reportedly exercised the $4.6 million player option in his contract, according to beat writer Josh Lewenberg.
This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone because there's no way Kleiza's getting anything close to that much on the open market. Kleiza barely played this season due to injuries and then was shut down by the Raptors for the final month of the season despite being healthy. He's candidate for Toronto's amnesty clause.

The Raptors are expected to pick up the final year on GM Bryan Colangelo's contract, with an official announcement coming as early as Monday.
Phil Jackson has recently been tied to the Raptors, but those rumors would cease if the team does pick up Colangelo's final year. BC has already said that he'll retain Dwane Casey as head coach, as Raptors management seems very wary of change for its own sake.
