Marc Gasol hit 8-of-14 shots for 23 points, seven rebounds, four assists and a block to lead the Grizzlies to a 92-80 Game 5 win over the Clippers in Memphis on Wednesday.
Game 6 is on Friday at Los Angeles with the Clippers holding a 3-2 lead. However, Chris Paul is questionable and Blake Griffin could be slowed by a tweaked left knee, meaning this series could be far from over. Zach Randolph added 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Rudy Gay added 14 points and five rebounds on 6-of-14 shooting.

Gasol played 32 minutes and it's encouraging to see him play more and produce more as the season winds down. Rudy Gay added 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting with five boards, two steals, and a block, O.J. Mayo got hot with 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists, a steal, and a block, Tony Allen scored eight points with five boards and two steals, and Mike Conley stepped aside with zero points on five missed shot attempts, one rebound, three assists, and a steal.

Marc Gasol scored 17 points on 5-of-13 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and three blocks over 24 minutes in the Grizzlies' 109-101 win against the Cavs on Monday.
Gasol has been very quiet since suffering a bone bruise in his knee, and while his outing needs to be evaluated with the opponent in mind it's good to see him pick up the pace. If the Clippers win either of their two upcoming games, Gasol is a shutdown candidate for Thursday's game against the Magic. Rudy Gay scored 15 points on 4-of-10 shooting with six boards, four assists, and two blocks, Mike Conley added 12 points with two triples and three assists, and O.J. Mayo added 14 points, two threes, and five assists.

Marc Gasol played 22 minutes in the Grizzlies' win over the Bobcats on Friday, scoring eight points on 3-of-5 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.
Sure, the competition made the decision to limit Gasol a lot easier tonight, but he has been limited since injuring his knee and there is no way to tell right now if that will continue all the way until the playoffs. Owners should plan on numbers like these, with any improvement being icing on the cake.
