New Suns GM Ryan McDonough said Michael Beasley "has come growing up to do."
McDonough was referring to both the current sexual assault investigation surrounding Beasley and his play on the court. He's 24 years old, has already played for three teams and has been labeled as a team cancer. "Michael has made mistakes and has some growing to do, but he is a talented young player," said McDonough. "Whoever the next coach is, he and I are going to try and help him see the value of hard work and hope he learns from those mistakes." Beasley is entering the second year of a three-year deal he signed with the Suns last offseason.

Suns F Michael Beasley is being investigated by Scottsdale Police for sexual assault.
The incident reportedly took place way back on Jan. 13. Right now, there is only an allegation against Beasley -- no charges. "At this point we can only say the investigation is ongoing," said David Pubins, Scottsdale Police spokesman. "We are interviewing those involved and processing any physical evidence we may have to try and determine if criminal charges are appropriate." Beasley signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the Suns last offseason, but lost his starting gig and ended up averaging a career-low 10.1 points per game. The Suns could just dump him and eat the cap hit, regardless of whether these charges prove truthful.

Michael Beasley returned to the lineup on Monday and did not score in four minutes.
His wife gave birth to their 11-pound baby girl last week and Beasley missed the last three games. Markieff Morris and Luis Scola are playing well, which has essentially taken Beasley out of the rotation.

Michael Beasley has rejoined the Suns after missing a three-game road trip for the birth of his daughter.
We're guessing this means he's a good bet to play Monday night against the Rockets, but how many minutes he'll get, and what kind of shape he'll be in, is anyone's guess.

Sidelined
Channing Frye (heart) said he's "95 percent positive" he'll be healthy enough to return to the NBA next season.
Frye has missed the entire season after doctors discovered an enlarged heart during a routine stress exam. Frye admitted there's a chance he may never play again, but he's thinking about joining the Suns on the road in March and April to get used to traveling again. The sweet-shooting big man can't work out but says he takes 200 shots every other day and uses golf and yoga to help keep himself somewhat in shape. Frye has two years left on his contract after this one.
