Enes Kanter's (shoulder) agent says his client is ahead of schedule in his rehab but might not be cleared for basketball activities until August.
Kanter dislocated his non-shooting shoulder on March 27 and had surgery in Chicago a couple weeks later. Truth be told, this isn't that big of a deal. Even if Kanter can't get back on a court until August, he'll still have at least a month to rehab and get into shape before training camp opens. The only drawback is Kanter won't be able to play with the Jazz' summer league team, which Kanter's agent says was unlikely in the first place.

Enes Kanter's agent says his client's shoulder surgery 'went perfect' and Kanter will remain in Chicago to rehab.
Kanter dislocated his non-shooting shoulder on March 27 and has been sidelined ever since. The Jazz announced he would need surgery Tuesday and while it's good his agent is optimistic, we'll wait to see how his rehab proceeds before calling any surgery "perfect." Kanter remains a high-upside play for next season considering that both Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap are scheduled to be free agents next season.

Kanter dislocated his non-shooting shoulder against the Suns on March 27. There was enough damage inside to make surgery a necessity. Kanter's second season ends with meager averages of 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 15.4 minutes, but he flashed monstrous upside when Al Jefferson was sidelined by injury. In two starts this season, Kanter averaged 20.5 points and 15.0 rebounds. Dynasty owners should note that Jefferson will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Updating a previous item, Enes Kanter (shoulder) is out for the season whether or not the Jazz make the playoffs, sources told the Salt Lake Tribune.
Kanter was visiting doctors in New York on Monday to determine the status of his shoulder injury, so it wouldn't be shocking to get official word from the team very shortly. He was always a long shot to play again this season, so this just means Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap and Derrick Favors are locked into their current roles the rest of the way.
