Iman Shumpert nearly salvaged Game 6 for the Knicks on Saturday, scoring 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting with five 3-pointers.
Carmelo Anthony's 39-point game wasn't enough, and neither was Shumpert's scintillating third quarter which erased a substantial deficit and briefly allowed the Knicks to take the lead. The problem was that everyone else on the Knicks shot a combined 28.3 percent from the field -- J.R. Smith went 4-of-15, Raymond Felton was 0-of-7, and Jason Kidd finished his season with an incredible 10-game scoreless streak.

Iman Shumpert said his scoreless performance in Game 4 was not due to his sore left knee.
Shumpert underwent an MRI on the knee on Tuesday but said today he was not bothered by it at practice. Shumpert only played 20 minutes in Game 4 due to a "coach's decision" by Mike Woodson, but we wouldn't be surprised if the notoriously shifty Knicks are hiding something. We'll have to wait and see if Shumpert is limited in any way in Game 5.

Mike Woodson confirmed that Iman Shumpert's benching was a coach's decision.
Shumpert's knee is structurally sound, but he didn't look right during his time on the floor. "I decided to play him under 20, and it didn’t have to do with anything,’’ Woodson said. Shumpert was scoreless on six shots, and we wouldn't be surprised if his effectiveness is compromised for the remainder of New York's season. "I guess there's still some swelling, but I feel a lot better," Shumpert said.

Updating a previous item, Iman Shumpert is not in the game due to poor shooting.
On an interview with TNT's Rachel Nichols, Mike Woodson said that Shumpert isn't in the game due to shooting 0-for-5. Shumpert was getting ice on his knee and has been glued to the bench since. Woodson said he will use Chris Copeland and Steve Novak to hopefully provide a spark to the Knicks' struggling offense.
