The Raptors are targeting Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri to run their basketball operations, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
This comes one day after the Toronto Star reported that Maple League Sports & Entertainment has until Monday to decide whether to pick up the option on GM Bryan Colangelo's contract. Ujiri was named 2013 Executive of the Year by the NBA only nine days ago but is without a contract beyond this summer. The Nuggets have said they're not concerned about keeping him, knowing full well they'll likely have to pay the price to do so. However, Ujiri spent three years in Toronto's front office before heading to Denver and sources tell Yahoo! that could make this a difficult decision for him.

Maple League Sports & Entertainment has until Monday to decide whether to pick up the option on GM Bryan Colangelo's contract, league sources told the Toronto Star.
At this point, it seems highly unlikely that Colangelo will remain, especially considering that the Star also reported MLSE and new CEO Tim Leiweke have hired a head-hunting firm to help whittle down possible candidates to replace Colangelo. Although Phil Jackson's name has been mentioned in connection with the GM position, the hiring a search firm makes that seem less likely. The Star mentioned Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard and Thunder assistant GM Troy Weaver as possible candidates if/when Colangelo is let go.

The Raptors may be "leaning toward" replacing GM Bryan Colangelo, according to the National Post.
Previous reports suggested that Colangelo's job was safe, so this complicates the picture. The decision rests with Tim Leiweke, the new CEO of Maple League Sports & Entertainment. Leiweke already made an overture to Phil Jackson, but regardless of Colangelo's fate it's considered unlikely that the Zen Master will join the Raptors as more than an advisor. The suspense won't last much longer, as a decision on Colangelo is "imminent" and could be announced as soon as Monday.

The Raptors are expected to retain coach Dwane Casey this summer, though his staff may change in the coming weeks.
The Toronto Sun reports that during the 2012-13 season there was "a disconnect between the coaching staff and the players, an issue that led to dysfunction." Assistant coach Johnny Davis has a particularly uncertain future with the team, but it seems Casey's job is safe for as long as the Raptors keep GM Bryan Colangelo.

Linas Kleiza reportedly exercised the $4.6 million player option in his contract, according to beat writer Josh Lewenberg.
This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone because there's no way Kleiza's getting anything close to that much on the open market. Kleiza barely played this season due to injuries and then was shut down by the Raptors for the final month of the season despite being healthy. He's candidate for Toronto's amnesty clause.

The Raptors are expected to pick up the final year on GM Bryan Colangelo's contract, with an official announcement coming as early as Monday.
Phil Jackson has recently been tied to the Raptors, but those rumors would cease if the team does pick up Colangelo's final year. BC has already said that he'll retain Dwane Casey as head coach, as Raptors management seems very wary of change for its own sake.
