Tony Parker outplayed Chris Paul in the Spurs' 105-88 Game 2 win over the Clippers on Thursday, scoring 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting with five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Parker and his teammates look great, and it's hard to see them being pushed too hard by a beat-up Clippers squad. Danny Green hit four 3-pointers and had 13 points, Boris Diaw hit all seven of his shots and two threes for 16 points, four boards, and four assists, Tim Duncan scored 18 points on 9-of-14 shooting, Kawhi Leonard had a workmanlike five points, six boards, two steals, and a block, and Manu Ginobili scored 10 points with a full line. The Spurs take a 2-0 lead to L.A. for Saturday's Game 3.

Tony Parker (foot) "appeared to be hobbling" in the second quarter.
Parker brushed it off and finished the game without any complications. The point guard will likely welcome the rest he'll get before the second round begins, but it sounds like his foot issue is nothing more than a very minor deal. There is no reason to be concerned here.

The Spurs took a 3-0 stranglehold vs. the Jazz with a win on Saturday, led by Tony Parker's 27 points (10-of-17 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, and six assists.
The Jazz made stopping Parker the focal point of their defense (Gordon Hayward even defended him out of desperation) and the result was more of the same. He's one of the quickest PGs in the league, his ability to finish in traffic is uncanny, he's having a career year passing the ball (7.7 apg) and he's a constant threat to pull up for a jumper. Don't expect Utah to slow him down in Game 4.

Tony Parker had 18 points and nine assists in 28 minutes, and Tim Duncan had 12 points and 13 rebounds in 27 minutes, as the Spurs destroyed the Jazz 114-83 in Game 2 on Wednesday.
The score doesn't justify how easy this was for the Spurs, or how ugly it was for the Jazz, as the Spurs went on a 20-0 run in the second quarter. All five Spurs starters scored in double figures, while DeJuan Blair and Gary Neal also did so off the bench. The Spurs, who have now won 12 straight games, are the most well-rested team in the league, extremely deep, and have a perfect combo of youth and experience, along with the coach of the year. And it shows.

Sidelined
Tiago Splitter was one of six Spurs in double figures on Sunday, scoring 11 points with seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 24 minutes off the bench.
Splitter was kneed in the thigh during Game 3 but didn't seem slowed by the injury. With the Thunder and Lakers still playing, he should have plenty of time to rest up for the start of the Western Conference finals.
