James Jones has no plans to retire after the season.
"Unless something crazy happens, I'll be back," Jones said in reference to his $1.5 million player option. Why wouldn't he be? He never plays, is on the best team in basketball and can be around LeBron James every day. It's a good job if you can get it.

James Jones is back with the Heat after leaving the team to tend to a personal matter.
In 14 appearances this season, Jones has averaged 1.4 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.4 three-pointers in four minutes per game. That should tell you all you need to know.

This is Jones' first blurb since September when we noted his minutes would be reduced, and that's been the case throughout the year.

James Jones could have his minutes reduced this season.
The Miami Herald writes that it's "difficult to envision much time for James Jones," but that's not totally unexpected given his role in the 2012 postseason. After averaging just 13 minutes per game in 2011-12, Jones could be looking at even fewer minutes in 2012-13.

Sidelined
Mario Chalmers (shoulder) will play and start in Friday's Game 2 against the Pacers, as expected.
Chalmers dinged his left (non-shooting) shoulder during Game 1 and ended up playing just 21 minutes. We'd expect him to be back around his usual 26-28 minutes Friday night as the Heat try to seize a 2-0 lead. Chalmers is averaging 7.3 points and 3.9 assists in the playoffs so far.
