8/29/2011: Signed a six-year, $100 million contract. The deal contains $35.5 million guaranteed, including a $7 million signing bonus and all of Vick's first- and second-year base salaries and $3 million of his 2013 salary (for injury only). The sixth year voids if Vick participates in 35% of the Eagles' offensive snaps in any of the first five seasons, making the contract more realistically worth $80 million over five years. Another $3 million is available through incentives based on Super Bowl wins in 2011 and 2012, and playing time (77.5% of the regular season snaps). 2011: $10 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2012: $12.5 million, 2013: $15.5 million, 2014: $15 million (+ $3 million roster bonus), 2015: $14.5 million (+ $2 million roster bonus), 2016: $20 million (Dummy Year), 2017: Free Agent

Philly.com's Sheil Kapadia disputes the notion that Michael Vick's injury-plagued 2011 came as the result of "reckless play."
Vick suffered hand, finger and ribs injuries to go along with a concussion, but Kapadia points out that all four injuries occurred on plays where Vick completed a pass out of the pocket. It could be an indictment of an Eagles' offensive line that played extremely poorly early in the year, or also an indication that Vick was prone to holding onto the ball for too long. Even if his injuries occurred inside the pocket, there's no doubt Vick would benefit from some extra caution in 2012.

The NFL has granted the Falcons $3 million in cap credits related to money Michael Vick owed the franchise after declaring for bankruptcy in 2009.
As part of his settlement, Vick was ordered to pay back part of his rookie signing bonus. It's unclear how much Atlanta actually received, but the NFL decided a $3 million cap credit was warranted. Interestingly, the credit may have actually helped Vick's current team, as the extra cap space certainly didn't hurt the Falcons' ability to take Asante Samuel's salary off the Eagles' books.

Despite a reported interest in Peyton Manning and Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill, GM Howie Roseman insists the Eagles are "all in" with Michael Vick.
"We have so much confidence in Michael Vick leading our team. The way that he works and the determination he has, we're all in with Michael," Roseman said. "Michael is still a young quarterback. He looks great to me. He's healthy and he's determined. We feel very lucky to have him as our franchise quarterback." The Manning and Tannehill reports have been severely overblown.

Coach Andy Reid contacted Michael Vick after reports surfaced that the Eagles kicked the tires on Peyton Manning last month.
Vick's response: "I really don't care ... I told him, 'Coach, it don't matter. I don't care. I'm one of the best in the league.'" Even with blindside protector Jason Peters likely out for the season, Vick is a prime candidate for a bounce-back season. His offense is loaded with weapons.

Brent Celek
Sidelined
Brent Celek (shoulder and hernia surgeries) "(didn't) look that limited" at Eagles OTAs on Tuesday.
The Eagles have been mum on Celek's status other than revealing he will see "limited reps" in June's minicamp, but it sounds like earlier concerns about his recovery were overblown. Celek recently proclaimed that he "felt better than I have probably in the last three of four years," and should be at or near 100 percent for camp. He believes he was injured for perhaps two years before going under the knife.
