Rams coach Jeff Fisher said at the Combine that C Scott Wells is doing "fine" in his recovery from right knee surgery.
Wells had surgery on the same knee in June of 2012 and January of 2013, which is concerning for a 32-year-old football player. Fisher expects Wells to be ready for training camp in late July. St. Louis badly needs a healthy Wells.

Rams C Scott Wells underwent another right knee scope earlier this month, his second since last June.
The latest scope repaired torn cartilage. Wells suffered the setback just as he was returning from foot surgery in November, so he's undergone three separate surgeries in a seven-month span. Now 32, Wells struggled mightily as a run blocker in just seven starts in 2012. The Rams hope he'll be back by OTAs.

Rams activated C Scott Wells (foot) from injured reserve designated for return.
Wells broke his foot in Week 1 against the Lions and has been out ever since. After signing a four-year, $24 million deal in the offseason, Wells has been off the field far more than he's been on it. The pedestrian veteran Robert Turner has been starting in his place since Week 2 and has struggled with his run blocking. Wells, 32 in January, should be a major upgrade.

Rams C Scott Wells (broken foot, I.R./designated for return) was not activated for Week 10 against the 49ers.
Wells was originally expected to return this week, but multiple team sources tell Pro Football Weekly that he won't be cleared until Week 12. The Rams will continue to start career-backup Robert Turner in his absence. Wells, currently on injured reserve, has resumed practicing on a limited basis.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks had his right knee scoped last month.
Kendricks was dealing with swelling in his knee last month and decided to have it cleaned out. The former second-round pick showed up on the injury report a couple of times last season with a knee injury, but he didn't miss a game. With Jared Cook in town, Kendricks is expected to focus on blocking in 2013. He's sitting out OTAs, but he should be ready for training camp.
