Eagles GM Howie Roseman isn't planning to sign a veteran backup for LeSean McCoy.
The Eagles like Dion Lewis, Chris Polk, and Bryce Brown behind McCoy. "We feel really good about that spot," Roseman said. "That doesn't mean that if something was there that made sense we still wouldn't look to add there, but we feel really good about them." This, despite coach Andy Reid's plan to lighten McCoy's workload. Look for Lewis to be Philadelphia's primary backup.

ESPN New York reports the Jets are interested in free agent Ronnie Brown.
Although Brown is on the wrong side of 30 and contributed little in Philadelphia last season — including zero catches — he'd be an adequate, low-cost replacement for third-down back LaDainian Tomlinson. His signing would be bad news for Joe McKnight.

Brown will start, but the Eagles figure to take a long look at Dion Lewis today. Brown is an impending free agent that they tried to trade away in midseason. Lewis has potential as LeSean McCoy's backup going forward.

Ronnie Brown rushed six times for 18 yards in the Eagles' Week 15 win over the Jets.
Brown only saw the field because of the lopsided score in the fourth quarter. If LeSean McCoy were to go down at any point in the next two weeks, he'd share the load with Dion Lewis.

Brent Celek (shoulder and hernia surgeries) "(didn't) look that limited" at Eagles OTAs on Tuesday.
The Eagles have been mum on Celek's status other than revealing he will see "limited reps" in June's minicamp, but it sounds like earlier concerns about his recovery were overblown. Celek recently proclaimed that he "felt better than I have probably in the last three of four years," and should be at or near 100 percent for camp. He believes he was injured for perhaps two years before going under the knife.
