Eagles RG Todd Herremans (torn biceps) will undergo season-ending surgery, and be placed on injured reserve.
Herremans attempted to play through the injury in Week 9, but was ineffective, and suffered an ankle injury in the process. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Herremans’ roster spot will be taken by Evan Mathis (MCL), who is set to come off injured reserve/designated to return on Wednesday. Matt Tobin, who had been keeping Mathis' seat warm at left guard, will now slide into Herremans' spot at right guard. Tobin has arguably been more effective than Herremans this season, so it shouldn't be a major downgrade. Now 32, Herremans is signed through 2016, but has no guaranteed money remaining on his contract. His $4 million salary for 2015 makes him a candidate for release. Nov 4 - 6:24 PM
