Jeff Schudel of The News Herald thinks 2012 could be Josh Cribbs' last season with the Browns.
Schudel points to Cribbs' age (30 when 2013 kicks off) and the league's new kickoff rules, which diminish the value of return specialists. Additionally, the Browns have upgraded at wide receiver with Greg Little and Travis Benjamin, forcing Cribbs out of a significant offensive role. Due $1.438 million this season, he'd need to take a pay cut to land himself an extension.

Josh Cribbs caught seven passes for 91 yards against the Steelers in Week 17.
Cribbs took a step back on special teams, but posted career highs in receiving yards (523), receptions (41) and touchdowns (five). Always considered more ''gadget-type'' than legitimate NFL receiver, he's due for a regression in 2012.

Cribbs will continue to play through the injury as Cleveland's No. 3 receiver. He hasn't reached 50 yards since Week 9.

Josh Cribbs (groin) was limited in Browns practice Wednesday.
Cribbs played through his groin injury in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, hauling in one catch for three yards. He should be active for Week 16. As usual, he'll be well off the fantasy radar in leagues without return yardage.
