Brandon Lloyd's contract with the Patriots is reportedly a three-year deal worth $12 million.
Lloyd indicated he would be willing to take less money to sign in New England, and is underpaid relative to the market. Laurent Robinson, Robert Meachem, and Eddie Royal all received more lucrative contracts, and look to have secured more guaranteed money. The Patriots were able to negotiate both a low cap number and short-term commitment.

Patriots signed WR Brandon Lloyd, formerly of the Rams.
Lloyd gives the Patriots a receiver with ''deep threat'' ability and is an ideal complement to Wes Welker's slot game. Reports suggest Lloyd's contract demands in New England could be "reasonable," though financial terms are not yet available. Lloyd has played for five teams in his nine-year career, and led the NFL with 1,448 yards receiving under Patriots OC Josh McDaniels in Denver in 2010.

A league source tells the Boston Globe free agent Brandon Lloyd is "close" to signing with the Patriots.
Lloyd has done his best to increase his leverage since the start of free agency Tuesday, but has made little secret of his desire to end up in New England. He wouldn't be quite the vertical home run threat the Pats appeared in dire need of at times last season, but would perfectly complement Wes Welker's dominant slot game with one of the league's better outside-the-numbers skillsets.

Sources close to the 49ers tell CSN New England that free agent Brandon Lloyd's visit with the team was likely a favor for agent Tom Condon.
It's customary behavior this time of year, done to help an agent show the rest of the league that there is a market for his client. So far, though, the 49ers are Lloyd's only known visit. His public campaigning to join the Patriots could be scaring off potential suitors.

Rob Gronkowski (ankle surgery) has ditched his walking boot.
Now walking without a limp, Gronkowski has been doing core work at the Patriots offseason program. While he may need a couple of weeks to be ready for football activities, Gronk should be back to pre-injury form long before training camp.
