3/14/2012: Signed a five-year, $47 million contract. The deal contains $15 million guaranteed -- a $10 million signing bonus, Jackson's first-year base salary, $4 million of his second-year salary, and $750,000 of his third-year salary. Another $4 million is available through incentives. Jackson is eligible for annual $200,000 workout bonuses throughout the contract's life. 2012: $750,000, 2013: $6.75 million, 2014: $10.25 million, 2015-2016: $9.75 million, 2017: Free Agent

DeSean Jackson feels like there is "100 pounds of stress" relieved from his shoulders this season after signing a five-year, $47 million contract in March.
"It was a tough year for myself, had a lot of struggles, had a lot of things that just took me off of my game and my focus," Jackson said of 2011. "This year, a lot of that has just been removed." Coach Andy Reid is confident that Jackson is in for a bounce-back season in 2012.

The Eagles can get out of DeSean Jackson's five-year, $47 million contract relatively pain free following the 2013 season.
Jackson's deal contains $15 million guaranteed, $14.75 million of which are paid in the first two seasons. He received a $10 million signing bonus and base salaries of $750,000 and $6.75 million in 2012 and 2013, respectively. In 2014, Jackson's base salary leaps to $10.25 million, and only $250K of that number is guaranteed for both skill and injury. So, essentially, Jackson's deal can be reduced to a two-year, $17.9 million commitment.

Eagles re-signed franchise player DeSean Jackson to a five-year, $51 million contract.
The deal reportedly includes $15 million guaranteed. D-Jax had been set to make $9.4 million under the franchise tag. It's curious timing since Jackson appeared willing to play under the tag coming off his disappointing 2011 "prove it" campaign, but with the receiver market all but dried up, the Eagles are gambling a new deal will motivate a player who phoned it in at times last year. Jackson is still just 25, and has never posted fewer than 900 receiving yards in four seasons.

Eagles franchise player DeSean Jackson is expected to sign his tender on Tuesday.
From all indications, Jackson was simply waiting for the salary cap number to be finalized so the franchise tag figure could be set in stone. Jackson's eagerness to sign suggests the Eagles are giving more than lip service to their desire to lock him up long-term.

Brent Celek (shoulder and hernia surgeries) "(didn't) look that limited" at Eagles OTAs on Tuesday.
The Eagles have been mum on Celek's status other than revealing he will see "limited reps" in June's minicamp, but it sounds like earlier concerns about his recovery were overblown. Celek recently proclaimed that he "felt better than I have probably in the last three of four years," and should be at or near 100 percent for camp. He believes he was injured for perhaps two years before going under the knife.
