According to Profootballtalk, the Ravens and Joe Flacco are expected to keep discussing his contract throughout the remainder of the offseason.
There's been no real progress yet, and there's no sign of a breakthrough, either. Flacco is motivated to get the deal finalized, but the primary obstacles remain a lack of salary cap space and a disagreement on guaranteed money.

According to the Carroll County Times, there is a "distinct possibility" the Ravens and Joe Flacco won't finalize a new contract before next offseason.
The sides have been talking all spring, but have made little headway. The self-proclaimed best quarterback in the NFL apparently has a different take on his worth than the team that's seen him post an 86.0 career quarterback rating in 64 games. Between his salary and a roster bonus, Flacco is currently set to count more than $8 million against the cap this season.

NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports the Ravens and Joe Flacco are not close to a new deal, and that it's "unlikely they bridge the gap quickly."
The talks reportedly remain amicable, but La Canfora believes Flacco playing out the final year of his rookie deal without an extension is the "most likely outcome for 2012." Flacco will make a $6.76 million base salary in addition to a $2.1 million roster bonus.

Joe Flacco was present for the beginning of the Ravens' offseason program Monday.
Flacco's presence at the "voluntary" workouts is a sign his long-term contract negotiations have yet to grow contentious. It's possible the sides could meet this week, but it's unlikely talks will heat up before the draft.

Ravens KR David Reed (torn ACL) is hoping to soon resume running.
Reed is less than two months removed from his ACL tear, but says he "(feels) like I’m getting a lot of the motor control back." He hopes to be ready for training camp, but is still a candidate to begin the year on PUP. Fumbles cost Reed his job in Week 10 last season, and he won't be guaranteed a roster spot in 2012.
