Anthony Armstrong caught one pass for a 50-yard touchdown in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.
Armstrong was the No. 4 receiver for most of the day, losing snaps to Donte' Stallworth. But in the fourth quarter, Rex Grossman essentially threw up a hail mary to Armstrong after looking off the safety. Armstrong somehow came down with the ball despite Brandon Browner's pass interference. Don't chase that play by making a silly add.

Following Friday's practice, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan suggested that Anthony Armstrong may be poised for his best game of the season.
"I think he's ready for a breakout game," said Shanahan. "He's had an excellent week." The Redskins are desperate for a receiver to step up with Leonard Hankerson out for the year and Santana Moss ruled out for at least one more game. Armstrong may wind up getting the start opposite Jabar Gaffney on Sunday.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan explained Monday that Anthony Armstrong is out of the running for a starting job because of his inability to separate from press coverage.
Armstrong has lost his starting job again, this time to rookie Leonard Hankerson, and has just five catches for 47 yards on the season. "Anthony hasn't been as consistent as I'd like, just getting off bump coverage," said Shanahan. "He knows that. He's been getting better. If you can't beat bump coverage in the National Football League, then you start coaching."

The Redskins started Anthony Armstrong at split end against the Bills in Week 8, but Armstrong finished without a catch.
Armstrong wasn't even a part of the Skins' third-down package. Behind Fred Davis and perhaps Jabar Gaffney, the Redskins' pass-catching corps is hands-off in fantasy leagues. Armstrong was outproduced by Terrence Austin (2-22), Leonard Hankerson (1-23), and even FB Darrel Young (1-3) on Sunday.

Rich Tandler of CSN Washington is the latest Redskins beat writer to list Leonard Hankerson as a starter over Josh Morgan.
Hankerson is coming off hip surgery, but figures to be practice-ready by June 11 minicamp. Tandler considers Pierre Garcon, Hankerson, and Morgan the only locks to make the team, which seems to give Morgan the advantage over Santana Moss for the No. 3 job. Hankerson, Morgan, and Moss figure to see time in the slot.
