The Seahawks plan to use Golden Tate on punt returns this season.
Percy Harvin is more of a kickoff returner and Leon Washington's departure leaves punts open to competition. Tate will also compete with Doug Baldwin to be Seattle's No. 3 receiver. They're behind Harvin and Sidney Rice at wideout.

ESPN's Mike Sando suggests Golden Tate will move on from Seattle following this season.
Tate enters a contract year as the clear-cut No. 3 wideout. The Seahawks have made significant financial commitments to both Percy Harvin (signed a six-year, $67M contract last month) and Sidney Rice (five-year, $41M contract in 2011). They are unlikely to be the highest bidder when Tate hits the open market.

Golden Tate caught six passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Divisional round loss at Atlanta.
The former Notre Dame star got Seattle's second-half offensive barrage started with a tackle-breaking 29-yard touchdown. With the Falcons keying on Marshawn Lynch and Sidney Rice, Tate exploited single coverage in coming within two yards of a career high. Although he proved to be a reliable playmaking sidekick to Rice, Tate's inconsistent offensive role leaves him as a WR4/flex in fantasy leagues.

Golden Tate caught four passes for 35 yards in the Seahawks' Wild Card round victory over the Redskins.
Tate and Doug Baldwin shared the receiver lead with five targets. The Redskins bottled him up after the catch, preventing big plays. Look for the Seahawks to continue to lean on the ground attack in the Divisional round meeting with the Falcons.

Percy Harvin said he'll play "a little bit" of running back this season.
During four seasons with the Vikings, Harvin averaged 1.9 carries per game. If that number rises in Seattle, it won't be by much. Although Harvin is more than capable of running the read option with Russell Wilson, the Seahawks need him in the slot. They're stacked at running back with Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin and rookie Christine Michael.

The Seattle Times doesn't envision the Seahawks cutting TE Zach Miller.
We don't, either. Miller has a mammoth cap number for 2013 as he's due a $6.8 million salary and a $3 million roster bonus, but he was finally starting to come on in the latter stages of the 2012 season, capping it off with an eight-catch, 142-yard, one-score Divisional Round playoff game outburst against the Falcons. He should be in line for a bigger role on offense this coming season.
