6/8/2010: Signed a four-year, $2.378 million contract. The deal included a $200,000 signing bonus, a $76,000 first-year roster bonus, and a $90,000 second-year roster bonus. $312,000 is available via workout bonuses spread throughout the deal, and Hernandez can earn an additional $1.308 million final-year escalator based on playing time. 2012: $540,000 (+ $104,000 roster bonus), 2013: $575,000 (+ $118,000 roster bonus), 2014: Free Agent

Aaron Hernandez caught a team-high eight passes for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the Giants.
Hernandez had a bigger role with Rob Gronkowski (ankle) hobbled, seeing a game-high 14 targets. While Hernandez is a fun player to watch and a serious offensive threat for New England, he was held in check by the Giants and did not have a gain longer than 12 yards. Hernandez finished the regular season as a top-three fantasy tight end. The Patriots' two-tight end offense will keep him in the mix for a repeat performance in 2012.

Aaron Hernandez caught seven balls for 66 yards in the Patriots' AFC title game win over the Ravens.
Continuing to line up in the backfield, he also rushed three times for nine yards. Hernandez's per-play production against Baltimore didn't jump off the page, but he's clearly earned an increased role during the stretch run. The 22-year-old has at least five touches in eight straight games, including the playoffs.

Aaron Hernandez (concussion) is one of 14 players the Patriots have listed as "questionable" for the AFC Championship Game.
Hernandez was limited in practice each day this week after telling reporters Wednesday that he will play against the Ravens. We'd be borderline stunned if he's inactive for the game. Other Pats questionables: Wes Welker (knee), Deion Branch (knee), Pat Chung (knee), Logan Mankins (knee), and Kyle Love (ankle).

Along with Wes Welker (knee) and Deion Branch (knee), Hernandez was one of 14 players listed as "limited" on Thursday's practice report. Hernandez's Wednesday comments suggest he'll be fine for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Rob Gronkowski (ankle surgery) has ditched his walking boot.
Now walking without a limp, Gronkowski has been doing core work at the Patriots offseason program. While he may need a couple of weeks to be ready for football activities, Gronk should be back to pre-injury form long before training camp.
