David Nelson caught two passes for 23 yards in the Week 17 loss to the Patriots.
Nelson never truly capitalized on his opportunity to be the every-down slot receiver in Chan Gailey's offense. He finished with 61 catches for 658 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games, showing no ability to make things happen after the catch or get open downfield. Nelson has the look of a low-upside PPR option in 2012 drafts.

David Nelson caught three passes for 41 yards in the Bills' Week 16 win over the Broncos.
He was targeted five times. Nelson has been an effective slot receiver this season, but he's almost never the featured part of Buffalo's game plan and usually needs a touchdown to post a respectable fantasy stat line. He will probably continue to hover in the 40-60 yard range in Week 17 against the Patriots.

David Nelson caught six passes for 60 yards in the Bills' Week 15 loss to the Dolphins.
Nelson did the vast majority of his damage in garbage time. With the Dolphins not blitzing and the defense playing off, he sat underneath zones padded stats. But Nelson continues to never run routes downfield and do nothing after the catch. Owners should be able to do better for WR3 options in Week 16.

David Nelson was held to two catches for 20 yards in the Bills' Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Nelson seemingly only runs one route. He comes out of the slot and settles between the linebackers about nine yards down the field. Nelson hasn't topped five catches or 47 yards since Week 6 as Ryan Fitzpatrick has gone in the tank. There's not much upside here heading into a Week 15 matchup with the Dolphins. In Week 11, Miami held Nelson to one catch for zero yards.

Stevie Johnson will undergo groin surgery "over the next couple of days" to repair the injury that plagued him throughout 2011.
He has three months before the start of training camp, which should be plenty of time. Johnson's agent characterized the operation as "extremely minor," and assured that his client would "be at [the Bills'] facility for all activities." Johnson played through the injury all last year. He still caught 76 passes for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns, setting a career high with a 13.2 yards-per-reception average and finishing as the No. 21 fantasy receiver.

Bills TE Mike Caussin tore his right ACL in Week 16.
He'll be placed on injured reserve. Caussin, a second-year undrafted free agent out of D-IAA James Madison, finished with five catches for 41 yards in six appearances. He won't be on the 53-man roster to open next season.
